State and National Scholarship Announcements

The Credit Union Association of Oregon’s Financial Literacy Program is offering two

$500 scholarships for the year 2010.  Must be enrolling as a full time student and have

a GPA of 3.0 or better.  Student must also have a credit union account in their own

name.  See Mrs. Nelson in Career Center or go to: www.cuao.org

Deadline: March 10, 2010.

 

U.S. Bank’s Internet Scholarship Program.  Forty (40) $1,000 scholarships.  Details at

www.usbank.com/studentloans.  Deadline: March 31, 2010.

 

KFC Colonel’s Scholars—Up to $5,000 per year for tuitions, fees, books and room and

board.  Minimum GPA of 2.75. Enrolling in a public, in-state college or university,

pursuing a bachelor’s degree.   www.kfcscholars.org.  Deadline: Feb. 10, 2010.

 

Epsilon Sigma Alpha Scholarships.  Three scholarships available this year.

AXA Achievement Scholarships---  Ambition and drive, determination to set and reach

goals, respect for self, family and community, ability to succeed in college. 

$2,000 scholarships available.  www.axa-achievement.com.  Deadline: Feb. 15, 2010.

 

National Commission for Cooperative Education (NCCE) is the largest independently

sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the U.S.  One hundred seventy (170) merit

scholarships of $6,000 awarded nationally.  www.co-op.edu.  Deadline: Feb. 15, 2010.

 

Oregon Collectors Assoc. Hasson/Newman Memorial Scholarship.  Must attend

Oregon schools. www.oreascholarshipfund.com.     Deadline: March 1, 2010.

 

2010 Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY)   $7,500 scholarship.
