SCHEDULE UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

The TDW Softball team is sponsoring a Steak Dinner Fundraiser on Friday March 12, 2010, at the Middle School Commons from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. The menu includes a New York steak, baked potato, green salad, garlic bread and assorted desserts. Prices are $12.50 per person or $40 for a family of four. Tickets are available from any TDW softball player and at the door on Friday. Proceeds will go toward new uniforms.

Now you can follow TDW Athletics on Twitter!  Twitter is a social-network that will allow you to receive text type messages on phones, email, etc. Athletic Director Kyle Rosselle will be posting game scores, directions to games, schedule changes, etc.  Go to http://www.twitter.com  and sign up.

 

WEIGHT ROOM REMODEL

A little over $25,000 was raised from the team programs, ASB accounts, community fund-raised dollars, private monies, and a grant. It took a little over a year to put together. All the mats/padding were removed from the wrestling room and relocated to the small gym. Then, volunteers cleaned and painted the old wrestling room giving it a "fresh" look. A stereo system was installed as well as new and old equipment. A few finishing touches were added, such as a flat screen, murals, and mirrors. The last addition will be security cameras.

The purpose was to build a site and create enthusiasm in the area of strength training. Kyle Rosselle, athletic director spearheaded this remodel because he believes stronger and more confident athletes are more prepared to compete. His goal is to make this program sustainable at TDW.

 

ATHLETE SIGN-UPS AND PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Required forms and fees must be turned in to the Athletic Office before the student athlete starts practice. These forms may be obtained from the Athletic Office or downloaded from the link to "Forms and Info" from the main menu. Once they are signed by the athlete and the parent in all required areas, a copy is kept on file in the Athletic Office.
