couple weeks ago, and this past
weekend, they earned some high

TRAVEL OPPORTUNITY FOR TDW STUDENTS

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.   ~Mark Twain

Each year in August a group of TDW students has been fortunate enough to travel to our sister city in Japan.  Applications for the 2010 trip are now available in Counseling office.  Application deadline is February 15, 2010. The cost of the program is no more than $2000.  Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis clubs have money set aside in their budgets to donate to offset that cost. In the past, students have also undertaken fundraising activities both on their own and as a group to offset costs. The trip encompasses ten days and it is at a time when the major festival of the area is taking place.

BUY YOUR YEARBOOK ONLINE

Just go to yearbookforever.com and find The Dalles Wahtonka High School, and then you can special order your yearbook. For those of you who have already purchased your yearbook and would like to have some of the special features offered online, we can set that up for you. Just come to room 308 and we can arrange special features such as name stamping, plastic covers, etc. Don't wait till the last minute. The final day to order your yearbook is April 1. If you don't purchase it by then, you won't get one.

If you are one of those people who didn't purchase past yearbooks and would still like to get one, come to room 308. We have extras of all the school years. Later in life most people who didn't purchse a yearbook regret not doing so. When you grow older, and you will, it is fun to look back at memories that were made!

WHAT HAPPENS ON GREEN FRIDAYS?

Our goal at The Dalles Wahtonka High School is for every student to succeed in his/her educational endeavor. Consequently, we have devoted our Green Fridays (see school calendar) from 8:00 to 12:00 for students to have extra access to teachers and lab resources. Some students may be assigned to this time by teachers and/or administrators. Others are welcome to come in without being assigned if they need help or need to make up work missed during absences. Students are encouraged to take full advantage of this additional time and assistance!
